Meet Ron Chabot: From Cocoa for Cocoa
Ron Chabot is running for Cocoa City Council District 4 with a simple message: From Cocoa for Cocoa.
A lifelong Brevard County resident and Cocoa High School graduate, Ron has spent his life serving, working, and giving back to the community he calls home. After graduating from Cocoa High in 1974, Ron served four years in the United States Army as a Military Policeman before returning home to Brevard County.
From there, Ron built a 43-year career with Carroll Distributing Company, including 20 years as a senior manager overseeing sales, community relations, media relations, special events, and partnerships with local charities. His career gave him firsthand experience in leadership, teamwork, communication, and bringing people together to accomplish shared goals.
But Ron’s service to the community did not stop at work. Over the years, he has been involved with numerous civic groups, charitable organizations, youth programs, and community events throughout Brevard County. His leadership has included service with the Joe Realino Memorial Fund, Brevard County Sheriff’s Camp Chance, Brevard County Sheriff’s PAL, Carleton Terrace Park Association, American Legion Post 22, and many others.
Ron is running to give back to the City of Cocoa and help move the community forward with responsible, resident-focused leadership. His priorities include responsible growth, economic development, stronger parks and recreation, water and lagoon protection, listening to residents, and promoting teamwork among council members.
For Ron, this campaign is about service, teamwork, and community pride.
“My passion is to unite people and work as a team for the betterment of Cocoa and its citizens,” Ron said.
As a candidate for Cocoa City Council District 4, Ron is focused on bringing proven leadership, community experience, and a collaborative approach to City Hall. He believes Cocoa’s future should be shaped by leaders who listen, work together, and put residents first.
Ron is proud to stand with the people of Cocoa and looks forward to earning the trust and support of District 4 voters.
